I

It is so much fun to get to take anyone’s engagement pictures! The excitement and spark of getting engaged has such a fun energy. Capturing that between two people in love is a blast. But, it’s even more of an honor to get to photograph two people in love that you call your friends! I drag raced with this bride-to-be in high school, and was so excited to hear that she was engaged to her love!! For their engagement photoshoot in early spring, we went for a little bit of everything — the forest, the water, etc.!

The Couple

Taylor and Josh met in high school through mutual friends. They live here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (the best place to be!). As outdoorsy people, there’s no better place to explore with their dog and their friends. Hiking, camping, soaking up the sunny days…and now they get to do it all as a married couple!

A Spring Engagement Photoshoot

Taylor and Josh were so much fun to photograph. They trusted me to help them find the perfect locations to give them the background they loved! Since I’m out and about so often in my area, I have some amazing recommendations for where to go to take engagement pictures that fit your personalities! For Taylor and Josh, we went for a little bit of everything. Even though the spring blooms hadn’t started yet, we got some cool trees in the background in Vancouver, Washington. The spot they chose had that unique look, and a pretty creek to explore!

I also loved what this gorgeous couple chose to wear for their session! Since it still felt a little wintery, they popped in some warm, cozy colors. I loved that they went for outfits they felt comfortable in so that they could explore and move and cuddle up with ease!

Taylor and Josh are getting married this October (2022) and I’m so excited to see that day! If you love their spring engagement photoshoot and are planning a shoot of your own with your love, reach out to me here! I’m so excited to hear your vision for your engagement and your wedding so that we can document these special moments.
