The Ruins at the Astor Antique-Inspired Wedding | Kevin & Sadie

Remember this gorgeous engagement session I blogged about? I was so excited to see Sadie and Kevin tie the knot, and the day has finally come! The pair got married on a sunny June day in Astoria, Oregon, at The Ruins at the Astor. This vintage, antique-inspired venue was the perfect place for Kevin and Sadie’s celebration, and I was so happy I got to be part of it!

I talked a lot about Sadie and Kevin’s sweet love story in their engagement session blog post (go read it!), but I really could just gush about this couple all day. The two love Astoria, and visit the city several times a year if they’re able. When it came time to plan their Oregon wedding, choosing Astoria as the setting was an absolute no-brainer! They went with The Ruins at the Astor, a downtown venue with so much historic charm! They loved how unique it was, and that it felt different from a lot of other venues. 

My personal favorite moment of Sadie and Kevin’s wedding was their first dance! The first dance is so special, and it’s such a perfect, intimate moment to share with your new spouse. Sadie and Kevin’s was so full of emotion, my heart just couldn’t take it! Sadie’s dance with her dad also got me in the feels — every father-daughter in the room got up to join them at the end! 

The Ruins at the Astor

This is definitely one of the coolest venues I’ve been to here in Oregon, and it’s in an awesome coastal city, too! The original building was built in 1921, and the current owner has been carefully restoring and preserving it since 2009. There’s huge columns, Gothic detailing, and tons of windows for natural light. There are so many unique touches in this space, and I just couldn’t get enough of photographing Sadie and Kevin together here. 

If you’re considering a vintage-style wedding, I highly recommend The Ruins at the Astor! You can have up to 150-250 guests at your wedding here, and the staff has a lot of services they offer to help you create an amazing celebration.

I was so happy to be able to celebrate Sadie and Kevin’s engagement, and their wedding! Every detail was so unique and personal to them, and The Ruins at the Astor couldn’t have been a more perfect place for them to kick off this new chapter together.
